About Ability Physical Therapy
The mission of Ability Physical Therapy is to help people. More specifically, Ability Physical Therapy is dedicated to assisting clients in achieving their optimal physical function in home, work, and recreational settings.
Ability's Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Athletic Trainers, and Personal Trainers are entirely devoted to providing you with an exceptional experience and quality care.
The Ability Story
Jean Hammill, PT, started Marion Physical Therapy in 1996 due to a need for more outpatient physical therapy facilities in the area. Michael Reiling joined in 2000 after graduating from Regis University's Physical Therapy program and the athletic training program at the University of Iowa four years prior. Jean and Mike co-owned the business for several years until 2012 when Jean passed the torch to Mike as the full owner.
Since the start of Marion Physical Therapy in 1996, we have grown into five physical therapy locations and four 24/7/365 fitness locations along with one personal training studio. The Mount Vernon clinic opened in 2007 and the Center Point clinic opened in 2010. In 2012 the Marion clinic moved down the road where we were able to add a fitness center, Ability Fitness. We then had the opportunity in 2014 to acquire a 24 hour fitness center in Lisbon, Elite Fitness. When our Center Point clinic moved to a brand new facility in 2016, we added an Elite Fitness to that location as well. We then opened a physical therapy office and personal training studio in Solon in 2018, changed our Ability Fitness into a 24/7/365 Elite Fitness in Marion late 2018, and we have now added a physical therapy office and Elite Fitness location in Cedar Rapids.
Ability Physical Therapy now has a quality team of over 30 professionals dedicated to making sure you get the most out of your health, wellness, and fitness goals.
